Has anyone ever stayed at the Corinthian Bed and Breakfast, or know if it's nice? Hubby and I are visiting Dallas in a couple weeks and have reservations here. Tripadvisor and some other travel sites said it was very nice; I hope they're right! I was excited when I found it b/c the room was only $95/night, including breakfast and the rooms like nice online. This seems really, really inexpensive. It's not too good to be true, is it?

Would you prefer Belmont or Corinthian B&B? Or something else in the same price range?

Thank you!

For your search, the Corinthian will be good since it will put you right in the area. Personally, I love the Belmont, but you'll be farther from East Dallas, Baylor, etc. Both are in transitional neighborhoods...Belmont more so.

It's practically a part of the ever-expanding Baylor Hospital Complex. Not much within walking distance - but Deep Ellum is almost walkable. You probably would want to take a cab home at night, though. But you are scant minutes from Downtown, Uptown, Lower Greenville, Lakewood etc. Also you should see historic Fair Park Art Deco National Landmark if you are staying there...

I was in the house before it became a B & B and it is quite charming.

Thank you Lakewooder. I think the location will be pretty good for us and we'll have a rental car, so hopefully we'll have a nice time. I love old houses! We'll look into the Art deco Landmark too...thanks!

Well, also be sure to go a couple blocks north to check out Swiss Ave. You can start from just east of Downtown where the Meadows foundation has restored some Victorian homes up to Lakewood where the street has a park down its center and huge mansions.

Also there are three great old churches near the Corinthian. East Dallas Christian, Grace Methodist and Gaston Ave. Baptist (now Criswell College).

I know, I know, I'm not supposed to advertise, but just wanted to update that our stay at the Corinthian was wonderful and perfect. So feel free to confidently recommend it to others when asking for places to stay in Dallas - I know I will!
