Is there a credible source to find this data?

Not really. A lot of schools don't release that data since they don't have to and even if they did it can really depend on the grade and year. For example, some schools give preference to the children of alums and siblings. Thus, the kindergarten (a typical entrance year) selectivity for those who don't fall into either category can be greatly affected by the number who apply from those two groups. Another example is whether you're applying during a typical entrance year or not. If, for example, you apply for 2nd grade and the grade is full then the best you can get is wait listed and whether you get off it will solely depend on whether or not all of the third graders return for fourth grade. My younger son is in kindergarten and there are only a few spaces left for his grade. Once those spaces are filled no other kids will be accepted until a spot opens. Some overall are more selective than others but that doesn't tell the whole story.

St. Marks website in admissions section posts a 20% acceptance rate
Greenhill website in admission section posts a 25% acceptance rate

There are no grade specific stats- just overall stats for the whole school

can't find info on Hockaday's acceptance rates

Highly doubt you'd find Hockaday's official stats published, but this article printed in their own student paper several years ago highlighted the selectivity of the admissions process for their school. It's an interesting read, and truly goes to show there's not going to be a specific factor or cutoff score that definitively determines whether a student is accepted or not Inside Hocka-Admissions – The Fourcast

Yup.
But it's not really...imagine a year 28 kids are taken.
Maybe 110 apply. And there's your 25%.
But they don't mention that half those kids (or more) are siblings of current students or kids of employees.
So now the real space is 12 and you're competing with 94 kids for them.
Which puts the true acceptance rate at 12%.

It seems they are pretty much as selective as lower Ivies.

Agreed. But as you know, many siblings, alumni, etc. do not get into these elite schools either. I think this is great and really keeps up the academic standards of SM/GH/Hock.
