I know there are a lot of LDS families in Flower Mound, Coppell, and Irving. Other places too I'm sure, but those are the places I know of that have strong LDS communities.

Your budget will be tough in those areas, though.

Why did you mention you were LDS?
Not LDS here, but when you are, your faith and social community usually revolve around your ward and having that community is important.

I'm not LDS either and I know that, but OP didn't ask any of those kinds of questions...which is why I wondered why he bothered mentioning it.

Actually, the temple is located in North Dallas, between Forest & LBJ, and Preston & Hillcrest.

Most suburbs also have LDS churches. I know of one in East Plano, one in Central Plano, one in East Allen.

I believe your "church" location is based on school boundaries. At least it is around here. So finding a church home with good schools nearby is more of an issue than if you were able to church shop.

Irving has plenty of LDS but our school district won't meet your expectations. We have some good charters (my daughter's in one), but they may not suit your needs.

Euless, Grapevine, Hurst or Bedford....all good. Best areas are north of Hwy. 183, but some very nice areas south as well. Schools are fine but best are homes in the Grapevine Colleyville ISD (Independent School distric) attendance zone so search zip code 76039.

Our schools don't always align with the names of the towns, so always verify the school districts and which schools.

A real bargain these days is Arlington in zip codes 76016 or 76017 in the Martin High School attendance zone....good elementaries and middle schools feed into Martin; Martin is a good performing public high school. Some very nice neighborhoods there and lots of diversity on all levels, LDS would be comfortable there.

How far away do you want to be from the temple or meeting house?
How far away do you want to be from work?

Euless, Keller, Coppell, Mckinney come to mind...but that could depend on where you work.

Frisco has a very robust Mormon community. They have a lot of young children. I have a good friend who is Mormon and they are very happy with their community.
