Amazed me, too, since that is a BUSY intersection (Walnut Hill & MacArthur)... seems it was at 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning... a gang doing this all over the metroplex... first stealing a truck or car to do the smash... in this case, they weren't able to get the ATM. Brazen bunch for sure!

Here's the news story:

Default In my Opinion, the Best Value and Gem of a Find for a Las Colinas Home

I really like the University Park gated community. I lived there for 3 years and had no problem with the train track. It is amazingly the most quiet neighborhood I have ever lived in and very peaceful. You can walk to the lake filled with ducks and turtles just outside the gates. The houses are a mix of custom-like homes on the exterior lots, and high-quality D.R. Horton homes from the year 2000 to present (so newer community.) Homes here range from $345k to $600k.

The lots on these homes are surprisingly larger than you think - some homes here have swimming pools, and others have lots large enough for a swimming pool and large patio. You just have to look.

I highly recommend this community for its high-quality homes (example - doors are solid wood and at least 1" thick, all homes have high ceilings, and iron staircase), peaceful and safe community, convenient location, and best prices for a single-family home in a gated Las Colinas community.

If you turn right on Rochelle and get onto the 114 highway (never congested), you find yourself on MacArthur where there are excellent restaurants and shopping within 8 to 10 minutes. If you go up Northgate and hit MacArthur, you find yourself in a quaint shopping center with Tom Thumb, some restaurants (Thai, Japanese, Italian, Bar-B-Q), high-end salons, and boutique stores within 5 minutes.

Hope this helps, and now is the best time to look right there since many neighbors there are professionals, business owners, doctors, and lawyers and are upwardly mobile so there are a few homes that become available.
