Default Commute Fairview Or Lucas To Addison

Wondering what commute times are like from either Fairview or Lucas to Preston Rd, Addison. Would be leaving at 7.30am and then leaving Addison at about 6.00pm. Looking at various routes, it would be Lucas to Addison on the 75 and Fairview could be either the 75 or the 121 and then the tollway. Looking at real-time traffic maps it tells me this can be done in 30 mins but I'm not sure.

As I am not in the area yet I am relying on real-time traffic reports like mytraffic.com to give me an indication of what commute will be like when we move. Are these websites accurate? Thanks.

Arrow FAIRVIEW, Addison

I have had clients that wanted to relocate to certain areas of Dallas, I strongly recommended for them to truly test drive that area. If they lived in Dallas get up earlier in the morning and do the drive time, OR if the client were going to relocate to Dallas area secure a hotel close to where they prefer to live and drive it....

Fairview and Lucas are great areas !....

SUGGESTION: Live closer to your work than the distance, due to the expense of driving, unless there are other reasons to live in these 2 great communities.

You are talking at least 1 hour on the best day under perfect conditions. Most days I would guess closer to 1 and a half hours each way. You need to drive each route on a Monday morning and time it yourself. Do not rely on any traffic web site they are wrong. Google maps and directions is close. They will give you a time and a time with traffic. The traffic is unbelieveable here.

Thanks for your inputs. I think we will forget about Lucas and Fairview and live closer to my husband's work. Lucas and Fairview appealed because of the more rural locations and the schools but it won't be worth it for such a horrendous commute. I did check google maps and it advised that in traffic it could take about 50 minutes. Thanks again.
