If your child had cavities in her baby teeth, then yes...you definitely need to enforce good oral hygiene and be a good example of it yourself.


I have terrible teeth but even I didn't get my first cavity until junior high, well after my braces had been removed. If you don't keep after her and I mean REALLY keep after her, y'all will be maxing out your dental benefits for years to come getting all those cavities filled and dealing with the root canals/crowns that inevitably follow.


What's the deal with her wisdom teeth? And how old is she? I had braces put on when I was too young. My wisdom teeth came in later and ruined everything.

My child is 13. My child did have a very difficult time growing up, dealing with cavities.
