Good luck getting them to do anything about it.

I definitely have a touch of Hank Hill in me, no way could I let the grass die and have my yard trashed.

Don't get wrong, I would complain for sure, but I wouldn't let it sit for a month. Just my own personal preference.

I actually had ATT do some similar type of work on an easement on my property in Austin. The contractor doing the work was very professional and cleaned up and restored landscaping, but I was still super pissed because I had no warning and all of a sudden there was a crew digging up my yard. That precipitated my education regarding easements.

Uh I was referring to "enabling". Recognizing subtleties is obviously not your strength.

You seem to think that you can educate them LOL.

This is something I'm well versed in. Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

To those telling me to shovel it up myself ... this is a very large pile of dirt. It would take forever to bag it up, and Republic wouldn't haul it away anyways ... I'd have to make many trips to the landfill in my vehicle.

They should clean up their mess! A city-data forums member connected with ATT contacted me directly and will hopefully see to it they come clean up. Grass is prob already dead at this point anyways. :-/

Definitely make sure you request that the damage to the grass/landscaping be repaired/replaced in addition to the cleanup. When ATT completed work in the easement in my previous home the contractor ended up putting in new sod in a certain area.

It happened to me once. They did not bury the cable on time and left it on the driveway for 4-5 weeks. My 3 yr old son tripped on it and had 9 stitches on his eyebrow. Luckily it did not affect his eye. I opened case with ATT & they reimbursed the full medical expense and also buried the line. My suggestion is to call ATT & open a case with them.

After speaking to the right person (thanks to a member of this forum who contacted me directly), they came yesterday and hauled away the dirt. Good timing, too, since it's raining so much over here this morning. That would've made a muddy mess!

Anyone know how to best go about repairing the yard? This is how they left it.

Glad you got it fixed. I was about to tell you to call them and threaten to file lawsuit in small claims court if they don't fix it
