I thought they were supposed to be adding a regular lane in each direction on this road. There were eight lanes between the Vista Ridge Mall and 635 before construction and of course the HOV lanes were turned into the toll lanes. It seems like there would be much more traffic in Farmers Branch than in the Lake Cities or Lewisville because of people commuting to 635 and Downtown Dallas.

35 express from 121 down to 635 was a giant waste of money. It didn’t solve the traffic issues at all, and just added tolls so someone could make a profit. It’s a total cluster****

Isn't it reversible lanes? South in a.m. and north in p.m.? I have taken it south but just see one set of lanes.

One good thing they did was tie 121 and GBTR together without having to get on I35. That will help that area congestion tremendously.

I drove this on Saturday and my first thought was "why aren't there 4 lanes on each side of the toll lanes? It's not enough capacity for the growth going on in Denton County and they are going to have to expand it again.

Texpress lanes are an unbelievable rip-off. Those tolls add up so fast; taking it both ways just on LBJ adds up to almost $10 per day/$50 per week. If you work 50 weeks out of the year, that's $2500 going on tolls on a 6-7 mile (or so) stretch of highway every year.

Insane.

Just leave earlier.
