Greetings all, I just moved to Dallas a couple of weeks ago and am trying to get acquainted with my neighborhood. I was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions for churches in Uptown or West Village, preferably churches that are diverse or non-denominational. Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a church called trinity in uptown. I've only been once, people seemed to be friendly though. Not sure if it's affiliated with a denomination or not. I attend Watermark it's a short drive north in the Southwest corner of 635 and 75. It's a very warm, larger congregation. Great church. It is non-denominational.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. Anyone here familiar with the Church of the Incarnation (on McKinney Ave.)? One of my colleagues mentioned this too.

No clue about incarnation. Can you be more specific in what your needs are and your likes and dislikes? AKA conservative, big church, little church, hymns, contemporary, etc?

The OP said he wanted a diverse church. Cathedral of hope is not only diverse but it is warm and friendly and intellectually stimulating unlike most all churches.

He also said non-denominational (optional). COH is United Church of Christ which holds onto some tradition yet chooses to be a bit on the progressive side, the church does that all at the same time. At times COH is considered an inter-denominational church because it respects the other denominations, works with other denominations in helping out the community, and it borrows some traditions from other Christian denominations. That is why it is called United Church of Christ. Excellent church. More diverse than a non-denominational. More open minded in a reasonable way (no new age or voodoo stuff there). Highly recommended.

Cathedral of hope is the best church in the area. Really no other good churches that I could think of.
