25 year old Young Professional Moving to Dallas; Where to Live? (Grand Prairie: condos, townhomes)

I have recently accepted a job in Grand Prairie, TX and am looking to move from Baltimore, MD to Dallas TX. I have visited before, and like the Uptown and Greenville ave areas. I am used to Baltimore and Boston, MA type cities where all the restaurants, bars, and clubs are within a short walk. Are there any area's or specific places that people suggest I live?

Are you looking for the "urban" feel, condos/townhomes, walk to places? If so then look around Uptown all around the AAC and the Victory area of Dallas. Getting to GP won't be near as bad going your direction as it is for those going from GP to Dallas in the mornings. You can also look out in the Valley Ranch, Las Colinas area. Less to walk to in those areas but there is still a lot to do. This is going to be your more "fashionable" to impress crowd vs the Uptown & Greenville Ave crowd.
