We're shopping around for kitchen appliances (fridge, cooktop, microwave/oven combo). What are the go-to appliance places in DFW? We don't need high end appliances like Wolf or Viking, just need good solid reasonably priced brands. Thanks!

Nebraska Furniture Mart. They have a largr selection and a big clearance section. I bought a washer for 1/2 price because one foor fell off. Simply to fix if it happens again.

Sears outlet, they sell floor models and previous season models. There are a few in DFW. I use their Mesquite location. Great discounts on brand new appliances.

Gold Star, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Lowes, or Home Depot. If you have a Nebraska Furniture Mart or Home Depot credit card, you won't pay interest on purchases over a certain amount and pretty much any major appliance would get you there; the interest-free period varies.

Home Depot sends coupons out pretty regularly too; that 10% off is pretty sweet on top of an appliance purchase. They're supposed to cap the total discount at $200 but I've found they don't pay any attention to that...spend $3k and that 10% coupon takes $300 off.

P.S. You didn't hear that from me and I wouldn't call attention to it at the store.

My go-to appliance store is Factory Builder Store

Appliances, Cabinets - Dallas Fort Worth, Texas

Two reasons: One, they actually have trained, knowledgeable sales people working the showroom floor, a rarity these days. Second, their primary business is selling builders & remodelers direct, so their prices are more attuned to the wholesale pricing level, rather than retail.

Excellent selection too. Wide variety of brands & products. I just bought an LG washer/dryer from them, installed on Monday. MUCH cheaper than Best Buy, and installed really well (and I'm picky).
