Apartment locator
Hello,
First off, I want to thank everyone for contributing to this forum as I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and it's been very helpful.
So, I'm pretty excited about moving to Dallas in June and I'm looking to rent an apartment or house. But, I'm only going to be able to come down there and look for a place for one or two days prior to the move. Can anyone recommend an apartment locating service? I'm looking for someone to narrow down the choices for me so when I show up I'll only need to look at a few places, hopefully taylored to my needs. I've been using the online locators but there's just too many choices.
In case it's important, I'd like to find someplace that is equal-ish drive time to Baylor Hospital and Southwestern Med Center so I've been looking at Downtown/Uptown but I'm open to other options.
Thank you so much!

I know there is an apartment complex on the northeast end of Downtown called Camdens at Farmers Market. They are around 5 years old and there are lots of single people who live there. The only downside is that there is no nearby grocery store but other than that its a pretty nice place. Goodluck on the move.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, I'll definitley look into it.
However, I feel I should clarify the question. Can anyone recommend a good apartment locating service?
Thanks!

Camden Farmers market is right across the street from Farmers Market, also Urban market is not far from there. So there are 2 places close by to get groceries. Also it's the southeast corner of downtown, not north.

I'm a locator with apartmentmax. My services are paid for by the marketing dollars of whichever apartment you end up leasing from --- as long as you write down Cheryl with apartmentmax and let me know.
Send me your requirements and I'll send you the listing that fit and then call to check availability and specials.

One thing you need to consider is if you want a locator to actually escort you to the properties to visit them, or if you just want them to send you a listing of places and from there you are on your own. If that's something important to you, make sure you ask. Some locators specialize in the downtown/uptown areas only: I used a guy name Lance with ApartmentMax: 214-780-8558 to get downtown. He was very, very thorough, knowledgeable about the buildings and area and helped me get some of the admin fees waived. My friend used Patty Essen, and she was really pleased. Hopefully that helps a little!

I just signed up on the site so thanks! I used a locator service in GA and they did a really good job in listening to my wants and putting me in the great area of Buckhead.
