Same here. I’m just so ready for the mosquitos to die!

OH MY GOSH IT'S SO COLD OUTSIDE AND THE WIND IS KICKIN'! Wow, my windchimes are singing out there. And while I took up the outside chair cushions, I forgot to lower the outdoor umbrellas and when I got home, one of them had blown off and across the patio!

North winds are gusting at 20-25 MPH and the "feels like" temp is currently about 28 though the temp is still above freezing (not for long).

When does Dallas usually get sunny and high 75F low 55F? I feel like this fall skipped this transition? I thought you get a lot of that in fall and spring?

Those might be the averages ish for November, and it should be around that for Thanksgiving, but North Texas has big temperature swings, the only consistent season is summer for being consistently hot, the rest of the year can swing up and down.

Here east of Dallas (I live between Dallas and Tyler) we've gotten quite a bit of that weather sort over the past few weeks, temperature wise. Now sunny? Not as much - it's been an unusually wet fall this year but we did get a lot of warning about this so it hasn't been unexpected. We are probably in for an unusually wet winter too.

Actually, though we can get into the 70s in November, we are usually in the upper 60s with average lows in the 40s.

Those awesome fall days are usually scattered, not consistent. Although they were one year and it was awesome.

This year feels especially wild. Burning heat. Deluged with record rainfall, and then came freezing temps. I don't gripe too much. The mosquitoes needed to die, die, die and that is a reason to celebrate a hard freeze. And for me, I always say 'At least it's not summer!'.

May was brutally hot, which I didn't like because May is usually a pleasant month in Dallas. The month of May is a key differentiator between Dallas and Phoenix, a city I lived in prior to Dallas. May 1 is approximately when Phoenix gets unpleasant, whereas in most years, it is early June when Dallas gets unpleasant.

June and July were above average. However, soon after the calendar turned to August, the rain and cooler temperatures arrived. August spared us from this being one of the hottest summers ever. It was only the 11th hottest summer ever, but this was an above average summer for heat if this was the 11th hottest.

Fall has been pretty inconsistent. However, after May-July, cold fronts should be welcomed.
