See texasorbust, there are those who think it's cool. It can be quite a show which is great, but the danger that goes along with it prevents me from enjoying it.

The weatherman last night said 4 confirmed tornadoes touched down the other day. Two in Breckenridge near Possum Kingdom Lake, one in Oran (north of the Metroplex, I think) and one in DeSoto. Lots of straight line wind damage, though, which as momof2 said, you have to watch out more for.

My ex used to open the garage door and sit in the garage watching the lightening show.

Oran is a small community located west of the Metroplex in northern Palo Pinto County.
