Default OBGYN or Midwife and Preschool Recommendations

Help! We just bought a house in Allen and are moving in about 2 weeks from the Seattle area....the monkey wrench is that I am due with our second son less than a month after we arrive in TX. So needless to say I need a dr. I used a midwife with our first son but am open to a laid back dr. Also, I will need recommendation for preschools for our 3 year old to start in the fall. In seattle, you have to preregister usually by Feb. I am hoping to get lucky and find a spot for him. And would also love some help on soccer and gymnastics classes/camps for 3 year olds. Sorry, for the loaded thread, but am desperate for the help. Thanks, ahead of time for taking the time to help.

Are you looking for a homebirth midwife or CNM who delivers at hospitals?

I would highly recommend Bonnie Kitchen at Eden Song Maternity if you're looking for HB midwife. She and her former (now retired) partner Gail delivered my 7 year old.

We did two kids (and sets of footprints on the wall) at:

Birth and Women's Center Dallas - natural childbirth in a home-like environment

No real complaints with the kids, yet. But we will see.

Serious, good operation. Hospital near -- just in case, yunno.

All certified nurse midwives. Cash discount. Very high quality operation.

WAY better than any OBGYN / hospital options we shopped.

Did "The Little Gym" for a couple of years and the kids loved it. But watch out. Our local one went under and took the kids' money. We switched just before that happened to local community Soccer and Ice Skating (Star-Center) this year. both pretty good operations.

As far as the school game. Welcome to Hell.

Whole system sucks bad, here.

Try the Allen Birthing Center Allen Birthing Center - Dallas Midwife: Honoring the Spirit of Birth

I went on a tour there a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed.
