I went there a couple of weeks ago when the bulbs were blooming and just loved it. I was also impressed at how much open space/grassy areas there were for picnics or to lay down a blanket.

What house is that in the picture, the white one across the lake?

That is Mount Vernon, former home of oilman H. L. Hunt. It's a replica of Washington's Mount Vernon in Virginia. Here are a couple of links about it:
