Default Custom Home Builders near Dallas

I've posted a few threads here already but didn't have much luck, so I'll try again. I'm a framing contractor from Lincoln NE and I'm looking to possibly relocate to Texas and find some work. I'm looking mainly in the Mckinney area because I hear they are having great growth. If anyone knows of any quality custom home builders in the area, I would love to hear about it. I'm also curious about what they are paying framers per sq/ft. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There are several builders here in Mckinney and mainly they are going to be high end reproduction homes, or tract as some refer to. Those homes are built by companies that build more than one floor plan in a neighborhood. Darling and Huntington Homes are the the premier reproduction homes builders around here it seems to me imo. I walked through both Darlling and Huntington and they do create beautiful homes and they do their best to make sure that the elevations are different on the same street. I live in a neighborhood with both custom and non custom but mainly customs here. I see one home copied about 4 times around my area, a truly beautiful home for sure but I do consider it to be a reproduction.

The builders that create homes that are one of kind are what I call custom.
Those builders are going to be in Mckinney
Halifax Custom Homes, Mayfair Custom Homes, Penhollow Custom Homes, George Fuller Custom Homes, Kebler Custom Homes in Stonebridge. If you go to stonebridge ranch dot com it will give you more list of builders for this area. I would go from that list and call and see what is going on in the area. Maybe also contact the local HBA in Dallas and see if there are any jobs through them.

I personally have walked through Darling, Huntington, George Fuller and Halifax homes. I though bought a John Young Home which no longer builds in town.

Good Luck!
