Southlake or Fairview to Addison/Carrollton? (schools, commute to, teachers)

OK, back again....Is a commute from Southlake to the Proton/Beltline Rd area terrible? It looks like it is 22 miles on Mapquest and 31 mins.

We are on again/off again on Fairview (mainly off because of the school issues we have read about on this board) but I am really wanting it to work. I am just wondering if, like any school, it is just a few dissatisfied parents or if it's a more prevalent dissatisfaction than that. I have actually heard a couple of good things lately regarding people whose kids are there (that have ADD like my son) and they are happy. I am wondering if anyone on this board has kids in Lovejoy ISD/Fairview and is happy? It IS a fairly small community and to have heard some of the dissatisfied things I have does make me wonder...but again, there are always naysayers with everything...

Would Fairview or Southlake be a better commute to the Addison/Carrollton area? Thanks again guys!

Even though there is not a straight shot way to get to Carrollton/Addison from Fairview, it would be a lot easier and would have more options than the commute from Southlake.

It would closer to an 1 hour instead of the 31 that maquests quotes.

Have you taken a tour of the schools? Talk to the teachers, visit the classrooms. Lots of politics out there. I suggest you visit and follow your heart in your decision.
