While we stock up on hand sanitizers and general products of hygiene, we should also focus on increasing our individual and our family's immunity. Remember that more than 80% of the cases have mild symptoms and immunity plays a big role in keeping the symptoms mild. Please do add products like ginger, garlic, turmeric, leafy vegetables to your list, when shopping groceries.

Keller ISD just announced cancellation for the next two weeks.

I imagine alll other districts will follow.

No word about remote learning, just a straight up cancellation.

HEB school district also just announced closures for 2 weeks. My kids are in this district. Hopefully this will help slow the spread of the disease.

Silver lining, this coronavirus may finally be the thing that pushes more companies to adopt work from home positions for jobs that do not require going into an office. If even half the companies in the DFW area embraced work from home more, there would be a real reduction in traffic congestion and time spent by everyone commuting.

THIS. Could also be a contributing factor to why companies are hesitating to sound the "remote work alarm" as once that bell is pulled, they may have a hard time ever recovering a full in-office work force again. People will demand the flexibility, and there will be proof business continued as planned without in office staff.

Social distancing seems to be the best risk mitigation action the general population can take right now, and remote work would contribute significantly to that.

Grocery runs have been quite challenging. The stores are crowded and inventory is lackluster. It'd be ideal to avoid grocery stores now.

No big deal for Keller, but for poor ISDs where parents use school as free babysitter and free restaurant, it would be devastating.

I think you'd be surprised. Not everyone who attends Keller HS is wealthy, and schools like Fossil Ridge HS are not wealthy at all. I can tell you for example that Bear Creek Intermediate keeps a supply closet of soap, toothpaste and the like which is for families at that school.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra is suspended until March 22. Chris Botti will be rescheduled. Tickets for any affected performance can also be exchanged. Not sure about a refund.

Not DFW but good news for TX and a start. A mobile testing station.
