I live right down the street from that place. I haven't heard anything about it, but I will say that all the Gables / Post properties in uptown are generally the same so it's really about the specific location you like best & the people you end up being neighbors with. The property mgmt at these places are usually excellant because of the pricepoint the rent is at.

I wouldn't put too much stock in reviews on websites as usually they are overrepresented with those who have extreme viewpoints.

There are no really cheap places that I know of. The smallest studios usually start at $800 - $900 and up. There is an older place on Cole I believe that has one of the lower pricepoints I believe. Still, it is more expensive than what you might find outside of Uptown.

I would check out the AMLI complex on the east side of 75. It is technically not in uptown, but it is just right across the highway.

You might also check out the neighborhood around the Knox-Henderson area. It is north of Uptown, about a mile away, but has a similar vibe. Knox street is somewhat pedestrian.

I was going to say the same about reviews! I take them with a grain of salt. It seems most people that want to post a review are those that have some extreme complaint about a location. Last time I was in Dallas I stayed downtown at the Fairmont and had an excellent experience. I totally forgot to go to Tripadvisor to post a review. But the last time I was at a hotel and had some bad things happen I couldn't wait to post a review and let the world know, lol.
