I looked on Smart Asset and it appears they provide averages for the entire county.

Does anyone know the actual property tax percentages for Southlake and Frisco?

I'm trying to get my siblings to move here and they keep refusing because of property taxes.

I've heard Frisco is 2.5% and Southlake is 3.0% but I can't seem to find this online. Thanks!

You have to look at each county’s appraisal district and add up all of the tax rates.

Just a quick calculation on homes on the market which may vary some...

Frisco 2.011%

Southlake 2.28%

Coppell 2.52%

Lewisville 2.015%

Rates have actually dropped over the last few years as the values of homes have gone up.

It varies by what school district and what county you are in, not just what city.
Southlake for example has Carroll and Keller ISD.
Frisco has Denton and Collin County, and Lewisville ISD, Frisco ISD, Little Elm ISD if I remember correctly.
Last list I have is from 2018....but still might help you compare.

Here is a link to Denton County's rates and you can choose the 2020 rates: https://www.dentoncad.com/general-in...ng-units-rates. Like others have said, Frisco will vary. Parts are in Denton County and others are Collin County, and there are a handful of ISDs within the city's boundaries.

ETA: Here is Collin County's: https://www.collincad.org/ccad/repor....php?year=2020

Prosper is funny looking at the numbers. Denton County has a Fresh water supply district that if you are in makes your taxes about 2.68%. But if you are in Collin County it's 2.26% even with the Community college tax.

that goes to show how it can vary by many factors and subdivision.

Yes, Frisco is at 2.011% rate. When I moved to Frisco several years ago, it was at 2.25% and it keeps going down every year to offset the tax implication due to rising home values.

It also depends on if you are in Denton or Collin County.
