Don't let an upscale reputation fool you... It's true that South Irving does not have the cache of the Las Colinas/Valley Ranch area; but this next month we are moving out of truly terrible apartments in Las Colinas and into our new townhome in the Hardrock Estates. Some older townhomes/ apartments in Las Colinas/Valley Ranch suffer from upkeep neglect, and newer ones generally are poorly built - renters beware. True, I'm waiting to find out what the apartment communities are like which border Hardrock Estates, but I know there are nice homes on the other side of Esters Rd. And, I'll miss the shopping opportunities in North Irving, but if I really have to visit one of these stores, Hardrock Estates is a short hop to highway 161 and the stores on North MacArthur.
