So what are some of the other options in the Dallas area similar to Robson Ranch? any ideas?

There's Heritage Ranch in Fairview, TX.

There is Watermere in Southlake which has 3 types of residences--but it is high dollar experience
and does not offer amenities like a community golf course like Robson Ranch does

If you don't have any ties to DFW area you might look at Georgetown TX with its Del Webb community for seniors called Sun City
and there is one in Frisconorth of Dallas called Frisco Lakes that is about 8 yrs old now I guess--and it has swimming pools and maybe a golf course for residents

Default Del Webb

I have been to Del Webb in Frisco and it is a mid price retirement community and quality of homes look poor. i have also not heard a lot of good things about the builder Pulte.
