Default A differnt way to relocate to Lewisville area?

I am considering a relocation to Lewisville area. I have a job offer there. My wife is currently looking for work there in nursing field. We lived in Allen TX and left in 1998. We own a house in Rhode Island and are considering buying a 36' camper-leaving our house to sell in RI-living in the camper in a RV park until it sells. Family of 4 plus a dog but RV rates are cheap and will allow us to live cheaply in Texas until our house sells. The family is for it. We can even contiue living a few months afer the house sells and bank some money. Problem is...we probably will not make any money on our house that we have lived in for 5 years here and even chance loosing the 10k we put down as commision on the sale. Long term better results but....hard to give up a "new" house to live in a RV for 6 months..? Anybody know any nice RV parks in the area?

LET ME KNOW-GOTTA MAKE A DECISION SOON! tHE ECONOMY SEEMS BETTER IN TEXAS-SO HARD TO GET AHEAD IN THE NORTH EAST!

I think there is also a park in Denton area just north of Cornith or maybe even in Corinth. Both Sandy Lake and the Denton/Corinth locations are not far from Lewisville. The Denton location seems nicer appearance wise to me. Not sure what either looks like once you get into the grounds.

My in-laws stayed at Lewisville Lake park once in their RV. I only saw it at night, but it felt pretty safe, and was right next to the lake (views and walking distance).
The park is maybe a 5 minute drive from I-35.

tHANKS FOR THE RESPONSES. Sounds crazy to us but it may work-I'd be glad to hear what ya'll think about this idea. Housing market in trouble here and this will allow us to make the move and pay for the house until it sells. We thought about Maine but heating oil TOO expensive.

Hickory Creek is another government-run campsite in a bucolic setting. It also has many amenities, including swimming, showers, convenience store, etc. The website is About.com: http://www.reserveusa.com/

The advantage to knowing about several campsites is that they usually have maximum stay limits. You get around that by staying in one until you have to move, then relocating to the next.

Now that I think about it, you are not really limited to campsites around the Lewisville area. There are many state parks within easy reach of the DFW metro area, and heading out to one of them for the weekend would be a good change of pace. Oklahoma has some very ploeasant parks, as does north Texas.

The State of Texas park system is at Texas State Park Guide

Is there a possibility of renting out your home until it sells? There are also hospitals and other places paying big sign on bonuses for nurses. Maybe that could help? According to the Wall Street Journal and other sources, Dallas has the best economy in the nation right now! Moderator cut: real estate agent solicitations are not allowed

Unfortunately, renting the house can present other problems we do not want to handle. We will be leaving the majority of our property in the house anyway until it sells-hence the recent purchase of the RV. To make this work, we will need to find a hospital that DOES offer a relocation bonus and/or moving expense help. Moving a family that far will cost +/- $10000. We'll see what phone calls generate this week...
