TB, my favorite area in Flower Mound is Wellington which has 2 pools. Prices have gone up so it's getting harder to get a home under $300k but can be done.

Coppell is hard to fine a home under $300k but has the great aquatics center at Joe Brown Park. If you can get a home in Coppell it will be a great investment.

Thanks for the suggestions! Loves2Read, I will check out all those areas you mentioned. As far as a pool, I'm thinking a HOA type pool within the neighborhood. Out of all your suggested areas to look at, is there one or two that has great schools and is family friendly?

Rakin, thanks for your suggestions as well, Funny, I've already checked out Wellington online and it looks nice. Any idea of that commute to N.IRving? We live in the country now on 3 acres and it's so quiet and peaceful, it will be an adjustment moving into any subdivision I think. But, we want 'community' with other kids to play with, tennis/pool, and a bus ride to my kids' schools that's under an hour! Thanks

Wellington to my office in Las Colinas/ N. Irving is maybe 12 miles. So it will run maybe 20-25 minutes (usually). If you travel the airport is shorter.

North Irving is pretty wide which can add 10-15 minutes additional time if you are on the far east side.

You'll find in DFW it will take 20 minutes minimum to go a short distance. It's hard to have a commute much below that time.
