Flower Mound/Grapevine to Irving Commute
Hello, Probable relo to Dallas this summer. My husband's job will be in Irving, I work at home. Flower Mound and Grapevine look like a good fit for us, after reading tons of posts on this forum.
What is the commute time like at 7am/4pm?
Thanks in advance!!!!!

It does depend on where you start & where you're going but to Las Colinas say 20-25 minutes from Flower Mound. I try to keep my clients in southern Flower Mound but there is a very nice area north called Lantana. That would be 30-35 minutes.
Grapvine depends due to getting around the north end of the airport is a tough drive. If you go down 360 to south Irving it might be a little quicker.
Either city is a great location and you really can't go wrong.
My personal favorite is Flower Mound.

I know there are three different ISDs in the Flower Mound area? I've checked out school scores, etc online already but wondered if there's one ISD I should be looking at? (Two kids, elementary and middle, current middle student in accelerated program.) Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

That whole area of Flower Mound is in the Lewisville ISD but all the schools are in FM & Good. There are 2 high schools, is that what you are referring? If you go to Lantana, PM me and I'll give you some tips.

Any suggestions on neighborhoods...we can spend up to 300k, want a family friendly and safe area with at least a community pool. And the easier the commute to North Irving, the better!! Thanks in advance!

traffic in that area is not good--even the george bush that people did not used to use is getting crowded
if you want a sane commute--live as close to the job as you can
Ihat would not mean Lantana to me---that is out there
when you say community pool--you mean a subdivision pool overseen by the HOA of the development--right--not a city pool?
that might be the difficult part--
from what I know, many of the housing developments close to that north irving location don't have community pools---
the cost of the insurance and maintenance make them prohibitive--most developers did not put them in...
still suggest
Coppell --but part of that is in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
Grapevine--GCISD--well-regarded, desireable area
North Euless in Grapevine ISD has some possibles in your price range
maybe Richardson/Lake Highlands area
