Ohhh...let me tell you....I was put up to the challenge a couple of weeks ago at NorthPark...bragging about my pants that I got at Anthropologie for $9.95. My friend said I could NOT find anything in there for less than $10. I sure did...diggin' and diggin' in that back sale room, I found a pair of sage-y velvet pants for $9.95 - not quite in season right now, but it existed!! AND I bought myself a pair of trousers for $19.99...thank you very much!!

My daughter and friends went to the movies at North Park a couple of weeks ago and while they were getting popcorn, they were told that Tony & Jessica were there by a worker. When they sat down in their seats to watch their movie, their other friends waiting for them told them that Tony & Jessica were in the theater - sure enough, my daughter turned around and saw them sitting in the back.

This is probrably off the radar for most Dallasites, but I was within 10 feet of Cal Ripken last week! I'm not a sports person, but he's always been my favorite athlete. I was even at his first Orioles game before I was born
He was touring the business that I was auditing off Regal Row and John Carpenter (not exactly a ritzy part of town!!). I'm still kicking myself that I had to act professional in front of the client so I couldn't go all fan-girl on him... Didn't even get to say hello
You just never know when a celeb might pop up.

His wife was probably down the block at some of the ladies clothing warehouse sales. There are some in that area.

Yeah TO goes to Mockingbird Station a lot from what I hear. A place to see Tony and Jessica might be the patio at Primo's on McKinney (that's where I met whathisname Wilson - the blonde- a friend of a friend). Besides that is the 'scene' on Sunday afternoons - and I like their sour cream chicken enchiladas and tamales.

You should try the chile rellenos at Matt's in Lakewood and everyone goes to El Fenix (Downtown preferably - say hello to Al the host) on Wednesday for the enchilada special (would be good for a neophyte also). El Fenix's new owner to keep dishing out Tex-Mex | Dallas Morning News | News for Dallas, Texas | Cheryl Hall | Business Columnist | Dallas Morning News (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/columnists/chall/stories/061108dnbushall.398a049.html - broken link)

Monica is using the old Genaro's recipe for margaritas so they are kick-a**!

If you want to see sports figures and drop some bucks go to Al Biernat's or Chop House (Bob's). Al's is my fave.

At Matt's some other good menu items:
Bob Armstrong Dip (a BIG bowl is a meal in and of itself)
Fajita's - beef
Margarita's
oh heck, everything at Matt's is worth eating all the time.

Yum it's lunchtime and you are killing me. Good suggestions - they also have several varieties of chicken fried steak - unusual for Tex-Mex places. And don't freak out when you get raisins on your relleno.

Now how am I going to get some Bob Armstrong?

Put on your shoes. Pick up your house keys. Walk out the front door. Walk down to Matt's. Go in and have your pick of sitting on the patio, the bar or inside. Order some Bob Armstrong

Dang, now I'm hungry.

Yes it's .38 of a mile - staggering distance - and I've walked home from there pretty late! But I'm not at home now
