Default Need to find a wedding site for under $1000!!!

I was just informed yesterday after a month of being told it'd be no problem to do my wedding at our church that we need to find a new location! The wedding is Thanksgiving weekend and we're on a strict budget. We were going to spend $500 on the church... so something around that would be ideal. But up to $1000. We need a site to hold both the ceremony and reception which includes tables and chairs for under $1000. There will be about 150 people and we need an indoor site. The food, linens, decorations, etc are already taken care of... but we have no location!! Please help! Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Collin County - Myers’ Park & Event Center

This is the web link to Myers Park located in Mckinney. It is listed at $1200 so just slightly above your budget. It is off HWY 380 making the location around 15 minutes from 75 and maybe 25 minutes from the North Dallas tollway. Good luck!

I think this place may be pretty economical. I don't know the exact cost but you could call and check. One of my son's friends recently had his wedding & reception there.

:: Summit Ballrooms ::

It is located in East Plano. It's pretty bare-bones but certainly adequate and does a lot of weddings there.

the landing at the colin county place has a nice fireplace--that would be very attractive at Thanksgiving and
you get your security deposit back so it looks like around 800 for 8 hours--that is cheap...

there's a Chapel on 3040 just west of the Vista Ridge Mall...It might offer fair price. I checked on it 8 years ago and at that time is was very reasonable...good luck

If you know anyone that lives in an apartment complex with a nice club house that can sometimes be special...I had a friend marry at Bella Vida at Coyote Ridge last November and her wedding was beautiful. They have a website you can check it out. She had around 100 at her wedding/reception.

check out your local American Legion and Knights of Columbus halls, they are usually reasonable some buildings are older but they usually have what you need to host a wedding/reception ect.

This thread is almost a year old. Don't feel bad, I've done the same thing!

The apartment complex is an excellant idea, but the chapel you are referring to on 3040 would not be in that budget. i know a few who have used it. Another problem the OP will have, is using her own linens and things, most places will offer a package deal, the $1000 price tag for 150 guests including the minister etc is really, really low, even with nothing more than wedding cake and punch.

oh my, one of those "lets bring up an old thread again?" I too have done it before, I guess we all need to pay a little more attention. Anyone notice the OP never came back.
