Duplex/Townhome rentals in Las Colinas/Irving/Coppell (Euless: apartments, condo)

Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to find rental units in those areas? It seems VERY time consuming just to locate a few on the internet. I'm guessing a newspaper would be our best start, but was wondering if there are any locator type agents who work with something besides just apartments. We are looking to pay between 800-1200 depending on location and size/features. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No suggestions other than the Irving paper. It will be tough to find something in Coppell for this price but I do know of 1 house in Irving, north of 183 that rents at the high end of your price range. If you want to PM me I can give you a little more info.

My parents move frequently because of my stepdad's job, usually to townhomes, and they typically just find a property management company and go from there. Owners go this route so they don't have to show the property, handle the paperwork, run the credit check, etc. My folks have never had any trouble finding a place and will go on day-long tours of rentals with the agent, just like you would if you were buying. Using a property management co also usually means more prompt maintenance and problem resolution. There are crappy pm companies just like with anything else, but they've had more luck going that route than when they've rented from an owner who is on his own. I think Coppell, as mentioned, will be tough on your target budget. But in Irving there is a stretch on O'Connor, just south of 114 where there's lots of condo rentals. Most of them are older, affordable and well maintained. Safe neighborhood too. Some downstairs units have small private fenced yards--well, more of a glorified patio so don't know if that would suit you. Duplexes abound in some of the more hit and miss sections of Irving but they are out there if you don't mind going a bit further south into Irving. Good luck.
