[quote=tycobb2522;4312476] I remember in the mid 90's when JCP moved their headquarters to Plano from New York, and all of the New Yorkers that had previously never even owned a car moved into our neighborhood; you REALLY had to watch out.

That is so funny! I moved here from New York not that long ago, and I am just like those people! And yes, I live in Plano, so please look out!

I have to question a list that says Plano, a suburb of Dallas is #1 and Dallas is #45. The only way that could happen is if they are just looking for affluent suburbs with little poverty. Most people in Plano don't work there but in Dallas. Its kind of rediculous to say, well if your in the 75287 (Dallas that borders West Plano) your screwed, but a couple blocks up, your golden.

You need to divide suburbs and core cities because they have totally different demographics and combining them in the same list is totally pointless. They just assume every city over 250,000 is a real city but they don't take into account massive suburbs like Plano.

So with the downturn of the economy we can see that W Plano real estate has held up relative to everyone else - that helps with with wealth accumulation (recession-proof home values).

Class sizes can be big in Plano high schools, but if you are in honors/AP, they're tiny.

So, if I move from Irving to Plano, I'll get rich?
