Default asian shopping centers & similar areas of interest in richardson/plano area?

i only know of three asian shopping centers in that general area

1. the one off of greenville in richardson, that's in between belt line and arapaho. love that place.
2. the may hua place off of coit and park in central plano. awesome korean stand in the food court they have there.
3. that brand new shopping center off of legacy and 75 in east plano. the bakery is an early favorite.

any other places in the area i should know of? am moving to the area real soon and ppl tell me about japanese grocers, tofu places, nice little tea shops and bakeries spread throughout the area and i have no idea where they are

Saigon (Mall?) just over the Richardson border at BeltLine/Jupiter. Just opened. Others have said "it's the biggest" but I prefer the HTown (sp?) in carrollton at Old Denton.

I spend most of my Asian market dollars there in the DFW China Town, which appears to be the name of the first one you listed above. Try the Japanese (ajisen?) and new Korean place there if you have a chance. I found both to be flavorful and service oriented.

Hong Kong supermarket is on Walnut and Audelia in North Dallas.

There are also several authentic restaurants right around there. One very good one is Bistro B. It's Chinese/Vietnamese.

yeah, dfw chinatown, that's it. be going to that place since i was a little kid

i've heard there's a dim sum buffet for lunch there. can only imagine how well they execute such a concept there.

if it isnt off of coit or 75, i'm not going to know about it. moving to plano in the fall, want to find all the big and small asian places so my mom has something to do when she visits.

We frequently shop at Asia World, on Legacy off the 75. Pretty good selection and decent prices. Also, we usually go to Maxim's for dim sum. Very authentic. I'm married to a Chinese guy and we do the family dim sum thing on weekends, or we head to Canton's.
