Moving to Dallas from LA
I am getting excited about moving back to Dallas after 20 years of watching the Cowboys in New York for (10 Years) and Southern Cali for (10 years). In my later teens I spent time in Downtown, Deep Ellum, Greenville etc. Don't think thats my crowd anymore. I am 35 Single, Male and have my own consulting business and want a different evironment. Something that is professional, but with some nightlife. I have been reading about Frisco, Mckinney. Would I be bored stiff their or would I fit in. In other words, would it be only families or would Single Professionals flock that way too! Also, would be nice to see some fellow Jewish Peops.

You'd be bored stiff. Mostly families out there.

I believe the Dallasites will tell you differently than glassbxx as I've read posts indicating there is lots to do in Dallas and the surrounding communities. Someone will come along and give you some help as friendliness is abundant in Texas.

Frisco/McKinney + 35yrs old + single = 1 bored guy.
You'll probably want to look at places closer to downtown. Uptown might be interesting to you.

Addison might work for you. I'd also try looking in closer to Downtown. Uptown, Lakewood, Junius Heights, Munger Place etc.
If your pleasant memories are of downtown/Deep Ellum/Greenville that would put you more in that area.

Plano- Shops at legacy area would be your flavor.
Nice lux townhomes/condos in that area. coffee shops, independent film style movie theater, wine bars, restaraunts..lots of places where the over 30 single and not so single crowd gather.

I really think that Addison is an ideal place so you can enjoy the local scene and then be close to the tollway to drive downtown for a change of scenery or go to games, events, etc. or also drive a little north to the Shops at Legacy. Although the Shops at Legacy is a great hang out place, I think it's would get old pretty fast if you lived there and would need somewhere new fast.
