Default Arch Foundation Info

I need to get some foundation work done, I have a quote from Arch foundation.

Basically the house i guess has been sinking and some piers need to be installed, its a pretty extensive job from the likes of it.
Does anyone have any experience with this company?

yes...we used them when we first bought this house 4 years ago. We had some settlement/foundation issues, and they added some piers under one corner of our home. ANyway, they seemed to do a good job. We have however noticed some crack popping up in other locations in the house in the last year. Actually, from what I found out from a 'foundation seminar' I attended, is that at least HALF of foundation issues in our area of due to poor drainage and not a structural problem. Hence, adding piers may only put a band-aid on the problem...the cause is still left untreated. After surveying our yard during and after a rainstorm, I think this was true in our case. In future we will hire a foundation CONSULTANT first to tell us what the actual cause is, and then hire the appropriate company (foundation or drainage) to fix it.
