It wasn't about Tyler. That was just my way of reminding people that you don't actually live in Dallas. It was about your frequent postings that generalize and stereotype cities and groups of people within those cities. You do have some valuable information to contribute very frequently on this forum, but you often undermine your own credibility with comments that have no factual basis. Your continued use of generalizations only serve to perpetuate well worn stereotypes such as the "pretentious" label that you often apply to Dallas. It's a big city and a majority of the 'hoods in Dallas do not deserve that rap. But everytime you or someone else makes a comment like that, then some reader who may have never even been to Dallas is going to get it in their head that it's the truth. Then they start parroting it to other people. It's just not necessary.

S4 was Village Station which was originally The Old Plantation which used to be in Downtown Dallas - first I heard of it was in the mid-1970s. I have no idea if Rich's has been around longer but OP/Village/S4 is probably older than Matt

Rich's first opened its doors in 1983 as Houston & Texas' premier gay nightclub & has been in the same location ever since. Many famous artists of that era have played there including Barbara Striesand, The Pointer Sisters, Patti LaBelle, Lisa Minelli, Madonna, Grace Jones, Boy George, Dave Navarro, Jenna Jameson, Tito Ortiz, Cher, Pet Shop Boys, Cyndi Lauper, Kristine W, DePeche Mode, & many more.

Numbers on Westheimer is an even older club/concert venue that has featured countless underground artists & bands before they gained popularity in the mainstream. It also first opened its doors in 1979 which is the year I was born.

I've lived in Austin for over ten years and have never had this happen. You hate Austin. We get it. You post it on every thread you can. Don't make up lies though.

It is possible that people do not know that you are gay. Maybe you look straight, conservative, or you are a conformist type that doesn't question things. And people leave you alone.

Dallas is a large enough city for everyone to pretty much live however they choose to live.

So S4/Village Station is older than Rich's...and I'm pretty sure it has been on Cedar Springs since about the time you were born..believe it or not in the early to mid-1970s Adair's Country Bar (redneck straight - you should have seen the tunes on the jukebox) was there and Cedar Springs was known for "ladies of the night" - yeah, real women although maybe not "ladies".

Yea, I remember in the '70's when my parents would take me to dinner at Ojeda's which at that time was located in the old house on Cedar Springs that is now occupied by Woody's Bar. After dinner we would slowly drive down Cedar Springs to observe the working girls out on the street plying their trade. It was sort of like Ward & June Cleaver driving Wally and Beaver through the red-light district. Ah.......memories.
