I have heard good things about Red Oak.

Depends on the budget. Red Oak, Ovilla and Desoto would certainly be at the top of the list.

In my opinion, Cedar Hill is probably the best southern suburb overall. It has become the shopping hub of southern Dallas County, has a diverse population, and a wide range of housing choices. The fact that it is located on the eastern shore of Joe Pool Lake and has that scenic "Hill Country" look is another plus.
The following southern suburbs have grown the fastest since 2000 (Growth Percentage; Numerical Increase) - Red Oak (117.39%; +5,049), Midlothian (94.52%; +7,070), Glenn Heights (61.27%; +4,426), Cedar Hill (39.91%; +12,807), Lancaster (38.26%; +9,906), Waxahachie (32.08%; +6,874), and DeSoto (27.77%; +10,454). As Grainraiser noted, Ovilla is also nice. Last edited by Acntx; 07-31-2008 at 06:28 AM.. |
