Default Looking for Scenic Locations

What are some secluded scenic locations around Dallas? I would like attractive, quiet areas to take pictures.

Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth are awesome. They are just north of I-30 on University Blvd. So roughly a 30-40 minute drive from downtown Dallas. Great place to relax and take in some excellent scenery and green thumb magic.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden - Sanctuary for the Senses
Yes, I especially love their Japanese gardens. Grapevine has a surprisingly nice botanical garden as well.

Here's a funny write up about the Great Trinity Forest not being quite so great yet.

And the Dallas Arboretum - http://www.city-data.com/forum/dalla...um-photos.html

Weekdays would be much better for getting secluded photos - some weekends can be very crowded, although the early mornings are usually not bad.

rosscountry will become famous soon enough
turtle creek, highland park area just south of the Dallas Country club. There is a little park there. It is a scenic, peaceful and walkable area. Right off of Beverly Drive just before Preston road.
