So, the 2008 Texas Education Agency accountability ratings are out today. Here are Exemplary and Recognized High Schools in the area:

pah...there must be something faulty with that list...I mean, there are schools from the DISD on there!

We have the same ranking as Frisco, J.J. Pearce and 859 other high schools (but we have all the subgroups). Only 246 out of 1711 high schools in Texas were ranked exemplary or recognized. Congratulations to them.

Yeah, I looked at what happened to JJ Pearce. They were Recognized last year. Looks like math scores from African-Americans got them this year.

It's VERY tough for high schools to get Recognized or Exemplary.

Sorry, jekutz, I missed Coppell.

HEB ISD is pretty impressive this year. Oh, and Gunter ISD, all of their schools were Exemplary. Carroll ISD has all exemplary except for their one elementary that has ...um, integrity issues.

Wylie High School in Taylor County is exemplary. The Wylie High School in Collin County is Academically Acceptable.
