Then head over to 15th Street a little bit east of there and hit Country Burger.

Can't argue with that either. So many burgers, so little time!

I perfer Country Burgers new location on the NW corner of Parker and Independance. I don't know but I taste a world of difference.
Then there's JCs Burger House behind the Big Lots NW corner of 15th and Independance. Real popular with the High School Kids. In other words, don't go there during lunch on school days.
I use to like Scotty Ps but it seemed to have lost something.

All of those are good. There is also a Jake's in Plano as well as in Dallas.
Agree w/ Scotty P's - I think it was the multiple locations that made it too "commercially" and lost the edge. I prefer the good ole griddle burger w/ the bun on the gridle as well. YUM!!! Had a craving for one the other night so we headed to The Dairyette. A burger w/ a frosted mug of homemade Root Beer. KILLER! Some of the best fries as well. I'd say they have THE BEST fries of all the burger joints.

We can start a best hamburger joint thread and I know what my choice would be. Winfields in the hood (near the Beckley/Saner recreation center) would get my vote.

I remember reading good things about Winfields, maybe on one of the foodie websites. What are the burgers like?

You know, Kelly's Eastside in the evenings w/ the live music (1 person band ) is rather homey feeling. Great food, great atmosphere, great people, great service, etc. It does not have that "suburban" feel to it at all - does that make sense. This place could literally be picked up and pluncked down in Lakewood or somewhere more "urban" and be right at home or say a small country town and it is their "one place to go" and EVERY local is always there. It has that kind of vibe.
Not to say lunch times are bad either. Done that a million times as well. It is still a hopping busy place during the lunch rush. You will see Plano's finest dining there all the time and workers from every direction filling the place.

Did you mean Wingfields? It made the list too. Need to try that one.
