Hawkins is in a beautiful part of Texas, and I have found nothing but nice people in the town. However, there is very little going on in Hawkins proper. Tyler is fairly close to the south, and it's a nice town. I have property on Lake Hawkins and at Holly Lake which is about 10 minutes from downtown Hawkins, and I count the minutes until I can get out there.
I would suggest you post this in the Texas forum rather than Dallas, because it is at least a 2 hour drive from most parts of Dallas.
Just curious; where are you going to be working?

Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for the reply and I will also post in the Texas forum. As that appears to be a realitively small area, I will gladly let you know where I may may once I know a bit more about it. It is still in the "maybe" stage.
It is a big move for me and my family.
Thanks again.

Dallas would be a good fit. I live in Hawkins. There is not a better place on earth. It's be a major culture shock if u are coming from Maine.

I don't think she said "get out OF there... but get out THERE!
This is also almost a year old thread. (I just realized that)
