fairview is great but it is becoming another crowded suburb and losing the country feeling.
You can see this with all of the development along country club road

This is a pretty new area, still surrounded by farmland, very quiet and hilly. About 20 minutes from downtown Dallas.

I would say that parts of Fairview are busier but certainly not crowded like other parts of the Metroplex but there are still plenty of quieter areas of Fairview.

Are there any homeschool groups in the Dallas area? Thanks for any info.

Kaufman County out near Wills Point, Canton. Lake Tawakoni is close and is very much a country feel. Rockwall is nice, but I sense from your post that it may be too populated for your liking.

I live in McKinney and go to church in Prosper. The schools out this way are excellent but there are still a great number who homeschool. My church is almost half homeschoolers and they have several great support networks. The areas north of McKinney -- around Prosper, Celina, Melissa, Anna sound like what you are looking for.

Just change your username to lovestocommute. I am not knocking your choice, but you will have more time with your family and more $$ if you live near work.

supposedly Anna will be one of the most country of those places that won't turn into a cookie cutter suburb.. Prosper/ melissa is growing and will start growing very fast after there is no more room to build in Frisco-Mckinney (Frisckenny)

Prosper is growing big time but there are a lot of acreage/estate developments that give it a break from the normal cookie cutter feel.
Personally I like my part of McKinney since I am on the east side of 75 on the edge of the historic district and the old square. A nice break from the the sea of roofs on the west side of central extending unbroken to the south until you get to Dallas.
