whoa!! i wonder why dallas people love talking down on houston people, its funny because houston people pays no attention and forgets it even exist at times. anyways, i see like this, its like the dog(dallas) howling at the moon(houston); no matter how much that dog (dallas) howl and bark at the moon(houston), the moon (houston) is so far away it cant even hear the dog howling, until after a while that dog(dallas) will get tired. then will have to shut up and admire the moon(houston) as it shines. i think dallas people think too much of their city when its just a fart more exciting than forth worth and that not saying much. i lived in both cities and i agree dallas people are snotty and racist too, and of course houston people are more down to earth. i say that becasue the city humbles you no matter how important you thing you are, the big cities like nyc, la, chi, phx, and hou make you feel small. so yeah dallas people are jerks if you dont believe me take a look at the post they leave on other forums it says it all. one other can we please stop comparing houston to dallas: dallas-1.3 mil houston- 2.3+ --- not even in the same weight class!!!

The DFW metro area has over 500,000 more people than Houston and is growing faster.
By the way, according to the Globalization and World Cities study of Loughborough University, which is one of the most widely used measures of which cities are world class. Dallas is a "Beta" world city and Houston is a "Beta minus" world city. Neither city is in the the range culturally of the three largest in the United States. Houston in no way humbles Dallas. The cities are very, very similar culturally and in amenities, but Dallas has always been the more cosmopolitan city and Houston the more working-class town.

look up the pop of the CITY OF DALLAS not the metroplex which includes fort worth and the surrounding cities; compare that to the pop. of CITY OF HOUSTON and you will be humble and realize yall are in the rearview mirror behind another city. yeah phx is bigger than dallas too so get a grip and who says im from houston?

Yes, they do teach that in Dallas schools. They also teach proper English grammar and typing skills.
You cannot isolate a city from its suburbs. They are one and the same. The fact is that, while Houston proper does have a larger population, the Houston metro area and all of the amenities that come with it are smaller than Dallas.
If you don't count the suburbs, Houston loses its biggest asset: NASA, which is only in Houston's ETJ and not in Houston proper.

well thats good they teach those things and yeah i know the dallas metro area is bigger than houston but damn it takes two large cities and like 30 surrounding cities to get there. but the topic is dallas people is more snotty than houston people, not dallas metroplex people are more snotty than houston people so just stick to the city of dallas. houston biggest assest is nasa? wow have you been to houston, so whats dallas biggest assest? oops there are none. atleast houston has a beach in driving range, port of houston, texas medical district( largest in the world), and more...... so once again your point wasnt proved lets face dallas has no clout compared to houston. its funny because dallas people will argue till their blue in the face to make dallas something thats its not. ill give you props for trying
