I live in Twin Creeks and will be commuting every day to the Galleria and was hoping to get some advice. Which way is faster. I live close to both 75 and 121 so I can take 121 to the Dallas North Tollway right to the Galleria or I can take 75 to 635. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would take 75 to 635 because you will not have to pay to use the DNT. On most days, it will take you about 35-40 minutes. Hope this helps!

I would avoid 635 during rush hour (or any time, really) at all costs. I don't know how congested the DNT is these days during rush hour, but I can't imagine it's as bad as 635.

You also have the option of going south on 75, west on George Bush and then south on the Dallas North Tollay. You can avoid 635 which is horrible. I think your commute - no matter how you do it - will be closer to 60 minutes if at peak rush hour.

It might be faster for you to just take Preston down. The ramps from George Bush to DNT can take 10 minutes alone. The tollboth at Keller Springs get REALLY backed up... it's a lot of lights, but if you have to go during rush hour, that's probably the best use of time.

I doubt that would be necessary. The commute(20 miles) to the Galleria really wouldn't be that bad. There is people who commute a whole lot further than that everyday. The DNT may be faster now that I think about it because it doesn't get as bad as 75 Central or 635 does. Many people have started using 75 instead of the DNT because it is free. If the OP is willing to pay the tolls, then maybe that is the route to go. From Twin Creeks, you would go to 121 and get on the DNT in Frisco, Then head south almost to 635 and evit Alpha/Galleria Rd.

You should test the commute times by actually doing the commutes using 75 and the DNT. Also, you can find out how traffic is by watching the news as they watch all the roads closely. If one road is backed up, then you can go another way. Again, I hope this helps!
