I visited the Texas State Fair on Sunday, October 12th. It was jammed.. with White People. As a black man myself I thought I would be coming to an ethnically diverse event, but that was not the case. I read that Dallas is 25% Black and 5% Asian, but there was few people of color at the State Fair. Maybe 1 out of 100 people.

Yes, there were a few African Americans at the Texas State Fair but so few that I felt self conscious.

Why are there so few people of color at the Texas State Fair?

As a black man you would know more than anybody. Ask your black friends why they don't go to the fair. Why does skin color matter at a fair anyway?

Because the OP wouldn't be able to make a troll post if it wasn't... Just look at other posts, and you will see all you need to know.

Given that it costs $38 for two adults + parking just to _enter_ the fair, I'd wager a guess that it isn't worth it to many.
I think your experience reflects socioeconomic realities.

Default No troll here!

So if you do not like me or my questions, you will try to get people to ignore it by calling me a troll. Anyone who looks at my posts will see that this is not the case. It is an honest question.

Interesting; I have found the fair to be overwhelmingly Mexican; so that doesn't really comport with the socioeconomic explanation above.

Overwhelmingly?!? That fair must be quite different from day-to-day.

Or maybe you were overwhelmed by the Mexican folk-dance performances, which were part of the shows.

Didn't say I don't like you. Your posts, however, are often obviously intended to create divisiveness and controversy. Just as mine are often blunt and abrasive.

Yes, overwhelmingly. I fully expect Big Tex to be in a sombrero within 5 years. When was the last time you went to the fair? And yes, perhaps I did just choose the day the Mexicans were out in force, every time I have been to the fair...

No problem with Mexicans mind you, it's just that it shows an inaccuracy in the original post, in my experience.

Yes I heard alot of spanish at the fair, and I expect most people were lower middle class, so the cost/economic argument for the lack of Black people is not valid.
