I've covered countless miles bicycling in/about/around and thru the park cities, between Oak Lawn and SMU and on both sides of Turtle Creek and the DNTway. There are homes to be had.

Get with hollyhill4G, find some representation and beat the bushes til the gawds speak. Hell, if George Bush can live there, so can you.

I do Home and Auto Insurance and have many clients in Highland Park. They absolutely LOVE the area and the community! If you are looking for more home for your money in the area you described, I would look into WEST Plano, Sachse, or Frisco...I am not sure how far your husband's drive would be from those cities though. If you do need help finding a home, I have lots of contacts with people with integrity that will fairly and honestly help you out. Keep me posted on your search!

For $1800 a month you will find homes in Frisco, Coppell, Flowermound, Plano, Mckinney, all of which have great schools and are predominantly white suburbs.

Whitehouse is another outstanding school, yet a very high priced area. The apartment homes may cost around, say, 250k.Normal homes, sometimes in the millions. The population is 97% white. No crime. No hicks. Still small city hospitality. The current pop, is about to reach 11000.
