Any suggestions about how to investigate housing options in Terrell or Wills Point? We'd be looking to rent and the internet sites I have checked do not list anything available in either.

What price per month are you wanting to stay in? From that I can tell you where the homes are at that you will be able to find. There is an area off of I-20 & 1641 that is considered Terrell but is in Forney ISD which is great if you have children. I have a client who lives in this area and his wife commutes to Dallas Love Field and he commutes to the Tyler Country Club for work.

We have some flexibility but would like to keep the monthly rent close to $1000. Is that a reasonable goal for the area?

Have you gone on Real Estate Listings, Homes for Sale and Rental Property Listings – REALTOR.com® and clicked on rentals? I did it and found several in the Terrell and other surrounding areas. I would think for 1000.00 you wouldn't have that much trouble finding something.
