Cool Traffic / Commuting / Jobs

hi;

My wife a I are thinking of relocating to the Dallas area. We've been there once and liked the Plano - Frisco area. However, some of the work I've seen is in Addison & Arlington. Are these commutable (30 - 45 min)? Do most companies have some sort of flex time? Here in phoenix we go in for 6 to 6:30 and out around 3 - 3:30. Traffic is not as bad at those hours.

Thanks

Just how bad is the traffic during rush hour? It can get pretty bad in Phoenix, but I can travel the 30 miles to work in about 45 minutes, due to going to work early and leaving early. Is a 30 mile commute doable in Dallas?

A lot of that depends on where you live and work. For example, for several month I lived in Milford, TX and commuted 70 mile to Plano. Travel time ran between 1:15 and 1:30. But the travel time headed south from say Plano/Frisco on the tollway or from Plano, Allen, McKinney on 75 could easily run you 45 minutes to an hour just to downtown.
