Decision (and reservations) has been made. We ended up choosing McGuire's in north Dallas off the tollway. They will be serving 3 different options. A traditional turkey style option, a filet mignon option (my choice!), and some other seafood type dish with crab crusted baked fish.

Me and my wifes 3rd date was at McGuire's and it is one of our favorite upscale places to dine when we have enough money to splurge.

The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine has a Thanksgiving Day Ballroom Brunch every year and it is very nice. We went one year several years ago and the food was REALLY good. For anyone who wants a nice Thanksgiving meal and doesn't want to make it, then this is the place to go.

Adults: $65.00*
Children 6 to 12: $25.00*
Children 5 and under: Free*

*Price includes brunch, sparkling wine, self-parking, musical entertainment, service charges and tax.

They also have valet parking.

Hotel Belmont's Cliff Cafe has Thanksgiving for $25/person. It's probably the best deal in town.

We went to the Alejandra’s at the Sheraton Dallas North it was really so good. It was 30.95 for adults 24.95 for seniors and 10.95 for children it includes champagne. It’s a buffet so you get your moneys worth and the corn bread stuffing was outstanding I recommend it to everyone I am going back this year.

I live in Dallas and have started going out for Thanksgiving with family and friends each year. I'm not big on Turkey, so I look for places with other options, although most of the best restaurants that are open do still offer a special menu. Here are some options for this year:

Charlie Palmer at The Joule
Brunch is $55, Dinner is $75. Each is three courses. While turkey is offered at both, brunch also includes a Filet Oscar option and Dinner has Dry-Age Sirloin, Open Face Scallop & Short Rib Ravioli, Sauted Texas Quail, and Kurabota Pork Chop.

III Forks
The steakhouses offer a $42.95 Thanksgiving Meal with soup, salad, dessert, and your choice of Turkey or Chateaubriand.

Landmark Restaurant at the Warwick Melrose Hotel
They offer quite a "spread" each year for $55 including Turkey, Salmon, Pork Loin, Shrimp, Honey Glazed Ham, Roast Beef, and breakfast options.

Maggiano's
Like you said, they only offer a specific family-style menu on Thanksgiving with entree choices limited to Turkey, Ham, and Salmon (choose two for the table). However, they also include a pasta course with a wide variety of options from which you also get two, so that allows for more of a selection.

Craft Dallas at the W Hotel
Craft has a Thanksgiving meal for $85 per person with an Amuse of Spiced Pumpkin Soup; First coure of Foie Gras, Game Terrine & Poached Pear and Frisee Salad with applewood bacon, chestnusts & black truffle; Main Course choices of Turkey, Prime Rib, or Scottish Salmon; Sides of sweet potato puree, roasted autumn vegetables, sausage raisin fennel stuffing, sauteed assorted mushrooms, brussel sprouts with bacon, and cranberry sauce; and Dessert of Chocolate Pecan Pie, Cranberry-Apple Crisp, Pumpkin Pie, and Ice Cream & Sorbet Sampler.

Maguires North Dallas
Maguires offers a meal with soup or salad, dessert, and your choice of Turkey, Red Snapper, or Filet Mignon for $34.

Nana's at the Hilton Anatole
Nana's offers Thanksgiving meals from 11-2 and 6-8 for $79 per person as follows:
Amuse - Greek Yogurt, Strawberries, Balsamic Vinegar Caramel, Pine Nuts
Second Course - Grilled Quail, Squash Caponata
Baby Spinach Salad, Candied Pine Nuts, Shaved Manchego, Warm Sherry Vinegar
Tuna Tartar, Wasabi Ice Cream, Soy, Sesame, Passion Fruit
Lobster Cavatelli, "Tuscan Puttanesca"
Liquid Baked Potato Soup, Sour Cream Foam, Chives, Potato Chip "Salt"
Ricotta-Lemon Silver Dollar Pancakes, Raspberries, Lemon Curd
Entree - Grilled Turkey Breat, Cranberry Compote, AVC's Stuffing, Green Beans, Celery Root Puree
Seared Scottish Salmon, Garbanzo Ragout, Glazed Baby Back Rib, Piquillo Peppers
Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Sea Scallop Combo, Quince, Hazelnuts, Orange-Pomegranate Glaze
Grilled Prime Filet, Parm Fries, White Truffle Oil, Rosemary-Yuzu Butter
Roasted Rack of Lamb, Sweet Potato Trinxat, Seared Drunken Goat Cheese
Fried Organic Eggs, French Fries, Liquid Tomato Chutney
Dessert - Pumpkin Flan, Pecan Guirlache, Nutella Pebbles
Glazed Strawberries, Orange Chiffon Migas, Licorice, Vanilla Chantilly
Cheezecake Panna Cotta, Fuji Apple Compote, Candied Fried Walnuts, Citrus Ice Cream

Trevi's at the Omni Mandalay Hotel
The Omni Mandalay offers a $55 brunch from 10 AM to 1:30 PM with a variety of soups & salads; a seafood station including shrimp, crab claws, chiled mussels, smoked salmon, and smoked trout; a Carving Station with Turkey and Rack of Lamb; a Breakfast Station with omelets & waffles; an Entree Station with Butter Fish, Stuffed Chicken Breast and Pork Loin; and a Dessert Station including Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Pecan Pie, Cheesecake, Fruit Tarts, Apple Crumble, White Chocolate Bread Pudding, and a Chocolate Fountain.

Texas de Brazil
This Churrascaria offers their standard selection of salads, soups, and fresh roasted meats including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and sausage along with a dessert selection. On Thanksgiving Day, they have a special price of $32.99 ($20 off for the three courses).

Bolla at the Stoneleigh Hotel
Bolla offers a special 4-Course Thanksgiving Menu for $65.00 per person.
1st Course - Sweet Potato & Chorizo Soup or Cold Smoked Pheasant Salad
2nd Course - Crisp Sea Scallop or Lobster Raviolis
3rd Course - Roast Breast of Turkey or Rack of Lamb
Dessert Course - Banana Bread Pudding or Pumpkin Chiboust Brulee

Omni Hotel Fort Worth
The Omni in Fort Worth has two selections. The hotel offers a Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet in the Texas Ballroom for $39.95 per person. Their main restaurant, Cast Iron, offers a 3-course home-cooking style meal from 2-8 for $26.95.

Fearing's at the Dallas Ritz Carlton
Fearing's has Thanksgiving Dinner for $95 per person from 11-3 or 5-8 with first courses including butternut squash bisque with pheasant confit, seared Nantucket Bay Scallops, Chicken Fried Quail, and Griddled Lump Crabcakes. Entree offerings include Turkey, Red Snapper, Antelope on Wild Boar, and Beef Tenderloin.

Pyramid Restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel
Pyramid offers a Thanksgiving Brunch for $45 including a variety of Salads, Seafood, Sushi, and Breakfast Items; a Turkey carving station; a la carte choice of Beef Tenderloin, Roasted Cornish Game Hen, or Cedar Roasted Salmon; and a Dessert Display.

Capriccio Ristorante
Capriccio offers a very affordable Thanksgiving Day Brunch for $18.95 from 11-4 with a salad bar; Breakfast Station including Eggs Benedict, Bacon, Sausage, Potatos, and Omelets made to order; a Traditional Turkey station including Turkey, Dressing, Stuffing, Green Beans, Mashed Potatos, and Cranberry Sauce; a Non-Traditional Station including Fresh Tilapia, Meatballs, Spaghetti, and Sauteed Garden Vegetables; a Carving Station including Ham and Pork Tenderloin; and a Dessert Station with Carrot Cake, Pecan Pie, and Chocolate Cake.

I hope this is helpful.

+1

Went last year with the kids and my parents - saw the ice sculpture exhibit as well (bring a heavy coat, gloves, and a hat - plus use the parkas they offer as well on top of the stuff you bring - it's seriously cold!). Really worth the price IMO. My sister is coming into town with my niece and nephews this year, and we're going again this year. They have the whole interior decorated for Christmas with lots of areas to explore/photo ops, they even had reindeer last year.

Try Nick's Family Restaurant up in Denison, about 65 miles north of you. They'll once again be offering up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for FREE, to anyone who walks through the door all day.

They're on old US-75 (Austin Ave) in downtown.

Last year we went to Lawry's steakhouse and it was wonderful. Plan to do it again this year. You will need to make reservations, however. They were serving a traditional turkey dinner along with prime rib if desired.
