I'm sorry it is not Thanksgiving night. I said coming in for Thanksgiving. It will be on Weds. night but thank you for the good advice.

terminal D is the WORST place to pick up people--horrible design IMO as someone who has lived in this area for 25 yrs and picked up plenty of people at DFW along the years--
parking for non-limo/taxis is limited and you can't park at the inner ring closest to the terminal entrances...there are people parking illegally and the "security" minders are often no where to be found
limos get pref treatment from what I can see--they can park in non-limo spots but not vice-versa

this terminal gets lots of cruise/tour people and there are minivans blocking the second drive-through loading lots of bags pretty much all the time when return flights come in...no one stops them even though they are parked/loading illegally
there are also lots of people who park in short term parking (because there is not enough sideline parking) and walk out into traffic w/o using the crosswalks--there are more curved walls which makes that a more dangerous proposition--so if you drive through there really pay attention to the lower speed limits...

our daughter flies into D from Tampa quite frequently and WE HATE IT !!!....
checked luggage also takes longer to come off the planes...
We have not been to the Grand Hyatt so can't comment on the parking situation for that specifically

Frankly--I would pick up each person as they came through and not wait in a hotel lounge

there might even be a bus for the Great Wolf Lodge or the Gaylord Texan --which should be nicely decorated==and has a hugh sports bar with like 30 TVs to watch...
