There are not multiple options close to Garland that have better schools than Frisco. Does Murphy have feeder patterns that offer exemplary schools, elementary to high school? If Murphy (served by Wylie Isd & Plano Isd) has that, then you could call them equal, not better.

That being said ,there are areas that would make the commute alot easier that would be fine by most peoples standards.Rockwall would be my number 1 suggestion...
Since you can't name school districts closer to Garland with better schools than Frisco, I will:

Plano ISD
Richardson ISD
Garland ISD
Allen ISD

That is all.

What would make a feeder pattern in Garland Isd, Allen isd ,Plano isd or Richardson isd better than Frisco? I never said that there was not an equal. I brought up the point that there re not multiple areas closer to Garland than Frisco with better school patterns. For example, Murphy Isd is srved by Plano isd and Wylie isd. Is there an exemplary feeder pattern that serves murphy from elementary to high school?

And yet , it still depend where you are in Frisco ISD , all the schools in the south part are not inferior , especially not to Garland and Allen.

Again, going by the best indicators of college readiness (SAT and AP), all of these schools outside Frisco's high schools:
1179 (M+V) -- Plano West -- Ranks 2nd in DFW
1159 -- Plano Senior. -- 4th
1120 -- Plano East -- 8th
1118 -- RISD JJ Pearce-- 9th
1080 - Allen -- 20th
1078 -- Garland HS-- 21st

Then comes Frisco Centennial (1071 - 25th in DFW), Frisco Liberty (1062-- 28th), Frisco HS (1042 -- 31st).

Allen and Garland HS have consistently out scored every Frisco HS for as far back as I can pull scores. Garland is also an open-enrollment district with IB - a huge leg up on Frisco.

Before anyone pulls the Asian card for Plano ISD, here are the white scores from the 2011 graduating classes in each of these districts:

1168 - Plano West. Ranks 2nd
1159 - Garland HS. Ranks 4th
1152 - RISD JJ Pearce. Ranks 6th
1146 - Plano East. Ranks 8th
1140 - RISD Lake Highlands. Ranks 10th

1136 - Plano Senior. 11th
1127 - RISD Richardson HS. 13th
1113 - North Garland. 17th

1102 - Frisco. 27th

1096 - Allen. 30th
1093- Frisco Liberty. 31st

1087 - RISD Berkner. 37th

1085 - Frisco Centennial. 39th

1075 - Frisco Wakeland. 46th!!

Taking scores from different High shools schools scattered throughout a district does not offer a complete picture of an ISD.

Richardson and Garland ISD have no Exemplary schools past the elementary level.Junior high schools and high schools are rated Academically Acceptable and Recognized.Almost all of Frisco Elementary and Middle schools are exemplary.Allen would be the closest comparison to most Frisco isd school feeder patterns...

2011 Accountability Rating System

Recognized - Plano Senior
Recognized - Plano East
Recognized - RISD JJ Pearce
Recognized - Allen
Recognized- Plano West
Academically Acceptable - Garland HS
Recognized - RISD JJ Pearce
Recognized - Plano East
Academically Acceptable - RISD Lake Highlands
Recognized - RISD Richardson HS
Recognized - North Garland
Recognized - Frisco
Recognized- Frisco Liberty
Recognized- RISD Berkner. 37th
Exemplary- Frisco Centennial. 39th
Recognized- Wakeland
