JJ Pearce attendance zone - elementary schools are Canyon Creek, Prairie Creek, Mohawk, Bowie, Brentfield and there are others too. I think part of Prestonwood feeds into Pearce.

We live in Richardson Heights (south-central Richardson, between Belt Line and Arapaho just west of Central Expressway) and love it - quiet, friendly neighborhood with more and more kids. It's about 50 years old, so a lot of the original owners are moving away (or passing on) and young families are coming in to take their places. Heights Elementary is an exemplary school, and though the neighborhood is still affordable, property values are rising (still can get an updated 3-2 for less than $200k).

If you can do over 200k home prices, the Reservation area (N of Arapaho and E of Coit) and the aforementioned Canyon Creek are also quite nice.

I'm thinking about Canyon Creek area near UTD. Is this a good choice?

That is one of the nicest areas of Richardson. Highly desirable.
